Diana Schouest (Mrs. Mike) of Louisiana was awarded the "Outstanding National CPM." Diana represents the best that Louisiana has to offer. She performs to the highest standards of public service. Congratulations to Diana and all of the other nominees for their dedicated service to their states and their respective governmental entities.

Fred C. Dent, Jr. Chairman of Financial and Management Services and former Commissioner of Financial Institutions for the State of Louisiana was a keynote speaker on May 20, 1999.  Entertaining and candid, Fred spoke of strategies to integrate the political appointee to the realities of governmental service.

Fred presented an entertaining and informative presentation to the attendees.

Fred was assisted by the Banking Commissioner for Louisiana, Doris Gunn.  They
entertained the crowd with stories of the realities of working with political
appointees.

Fred was in demand after his presentation to chat about the issues these ladies from Arizona thought important.  The conference ended with a wonderful Mardi Gras party complete with a parade.
